Name Your Horse – Win an Ultimate Owner for the Day experience

We're giving Coral Racing Club members the opportunity to name our new two-year-old filly for the chance to win an Ultimate Owner for the Day experience for her debut race!

She is currently in training with William Muir and Chris Grassick and could be set to make her first racecourse appearance in the next six weeks. She is a daughter of the 2019 Royal Ascot Norfolk Stakes winner, A'Ali, and her dam is Katalea, who was a winner in Germany.

Whether you want to keep it simple or be more creative, the name you submit is completely up to you and can be based on anything you like.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. By taking part in this Competition (the “Competition”) you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2. This Competition is open from 12:00 Friday 25th April 2025 until 23:59 Monday 5th May 2025. (the “Promotional Period”)

ELIGIBILITY

3. This Competition is only available to members of the Coral Racing Club who are over 18 years of age and who are not self-excluded from gambling with Coral, Ladbrokes or any other brand operated by the Promoter or are not self-excluded via any National Self-Exclusion scheme.  For details of how to enter the Coral Racing Club please visit: coralracingclub.coral.co.uk.

4. Employees of the Promoter, any agency or other persons directly or indirectly connected with the Promoter or any such person’s agents or members of their families or households, are not eligible to submit an entry for this Competition.

5. Winners and their invited guests will be required to satisfy any age, ID verification, responsible gambling, or other checks that the Promoter may perform in order to ensure the prizes are administered fairly, responsibly and meet the eligible criteria to receive the Prizes or participate in events.  The winner may be required to provide the Promoter with additional information and documents in order to satisfy such checks. Any failure to provide such information or documents, or to satisfy such checks will result in the winning entrant forfeiting the prize.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

6. To participate, an Eligible Player must:

a. access the Competition page;

b. click “ENTER HERE”;

c. type a name in the text entry box they’d like to enter for the club’s unnamed horse trained by William Muir and Chris Grassick; and

d. click “SUBMIT” to confirm their entry.

7. Only one entry permitted per person. No bulk or third-party entries. If it becomes apparent that a participant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this rule by, for example, the use of brute force, script or any other automated means, that person's entry will be disqualified, and any prize awarded will be void.

8. Name suggestions cannot be more than 18 characters long (including spaces). Use of numbers is excluded (i.e 1, 2, 3).

9. Name suggestions cannot be the same name as a horse that is currently registered with the British Horse Racing Authority. Check HERE to see if the name has been previously used. 

10. There is no entry fee and no purchase is necessary to enter the Competition.

11. Entries must be submitted by the end of the Promotional Period. After this date no further entries to the Competition will be accepted.

12. A shortlist of up to five names will be chosen by a panel of independent judges after the Competition closes and they will be put into a vote for Coral Racing Club members to participate in on the website. The name which gets the most votes will be declared as the winner.

13. In the event of more than one Eligible Player submitting the same winning name, 1 overall winner will be chosen at random by an online generator.

14. The prize for the winner from this Competition is an Ultimate Owner for the Day Experience (full details below) (the “Prize”).

15. The winner will be contacted by the Promoter via the email and/or telephone associated with their Coral account within 72 hours of the winner being drawn to accept their prize (a “Winning Notification”).

16. It is an Eligible Player’s responsibility to ensure that accurate and up-to-date information is saved in their Coral account in order to be contacted.

17. The winner must respond to the Winning Notification within 72 hours to confirm acceptance of the Prize. Failure to accept the Prize within 72 hours of contact may result in forfeit. If the Promoter deems the Prize to have been forfeited another winner may be chosen to receive the Prize.

18. The winner’s first name, county and/or submission may be announced on the Coral Racing Club website and/or Coral's X Account (@CRCofficial) within 28 days of the Competition closing. Should a winner not want to have their first name, county and/or submission published, the winner should notify the Promoter as soon as possible at dataprotection@entaingroup.com.

PRIZE SPECFIC CONDITIONS

19. The “Ultimate Owner for the Day Experience” Prize includes:

a. Owners' badges for the winner and their invited guest to attend the race meeting for the horse's first run for the Coral Racing Club;

b. one night accommodation (*hotel and date to be confirmed)

c. travel expenses (*to be reimbursed to the winner, with valid proof of purchase, up to the value of £200);

d. access to the Owner and Trainer facilities on race day for the horse;

e. access to the parade ring before the horse’s race;

f. should the horse win, entry into the Winners’ Enclosure for the trophy presentation;

e. should the horse win or place, the prize money (after standard deductions have been applied i.e. trainer and jockey fees) shall be shared equally amongst all winners of an “Owner for the Day” package at the same race meeting. Payment of any such funds will be via the winner’s Coral account.

20. If there are any additions to the prize details above, they will be confirmed and communicated by the Promoter before the race day.

21. In the event that the winner cannot attend the race, they will still receive their share of the prize money (after standard deductions have been applied i.e. trainer and jockey fees) should the horse win or place.

22. The winner and their invited guest must both be over 18 years old.

23. Unless specified, the Prize does not include spending money.

24 The Promoter will not be responsible for any cancellation or alterations to any element of the Prize that is outside of their control, including any cancellations that are a direct or indirect result of the Covid 19 pandemic. The Promoter will not be responsible for the inability of Prize winner or their invited guest to take up the Prize.

25. It is the sole responsibility of the winner and their invited guest to meet any third-party providers’ terms and conditions. The Promoter shall not have responsibility for lost tickets or missed race days for this reason.

26. The Prize shall be procured and delivered to the winner by the Promoter.

27. If the racecourse entry tickets are required to be collected at the specified racecourse on the day of the event, the Promoter will communicate this and include details to the best of their knowledge exactly where the ticket collection office is at the specified racecourse.

28. The Prize is non-transferable, and cannot be sold, traded, transferred, refunded or redeemed for cash value.

USE OF INFORMATION

29. Winners’ first name, county and/or submission may be published or made available to the public.

30. When relevant, winners will be required to facilitate guest details and provide information to comply with age, ID verification, responsible gambling or other checks to verify guest are suitable to participate or attend events when certain criteria are required (e.g., sufficient legal age to participate in events, etc..).

31. By entering into this Competition, each Eligible Player agrees that any personal information (including guest details) provided in connection with the Competition may be held and used by the Promoter (and/or its agents and suppliers) in order to administer the Competition, the Prizes and contact winners.

32. Eligible Players have the right to exercise their rights (access, rectification, cancellation and opposition) by contacting dataprotection@entaingroup.com.

33. The Promoter will use all personal data in accordance with their privacy policy and the relevant data protection legislation.

GENERAL

34. The Promoter of this Competition is LC International Limited, whose registered office address is Suite 6, Atlantic Suites, Europort Avenue, Gibraltar, GX11 1AA.

35. The Promoter reserves the right to change, end or restrict an Eligible Player’s access to the Competition or any other Competition, if required for legal and/or regulatory reasons including where necessary to prevent fraud or other unlawful behaviour.

36. The Promoter may place restrictions on your account in order to comply with their legal and regulatory obligations, this could include deposit restrictions and restrictions on the bonus offers that you can participate in. The Promoter will not be responsible should these restrictions, which may include Safer Gambling measures, affect your ability to complete the requirements of this Competition and/or to release any bonus, benefits or prizes.

37. Where the Promoter suspects that a winning participant is guilty of fraudulent activity, the Promoter reserves the right to suspend and/or remove that participant from the Competition, and/or suspend the Competition pending further investigation.

38. The Promoter assumes no responsibility or liability for: (i) communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilised in any aspect of this Competition; (ii) inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet or the website or any combination thereof; or (iii) to the fullest extent allowed by law, any loss or injury resulting from Competition participation or the acceptance of a prize.

39. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for the failure to fulfil the obligations of any third parties involved in this Competition, although will always endeavour to minimise the effect to the Eligible Player of any such failure.

40. The Competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
