Our Coral Racing Ambassadors, David Probert, Hugo Palmer and Jim Crowley preview their runners and rides on the third day of the Goodwood Festival.

DAVID PROBERT: 'THIS IS MY BEST RIDE OF THE WEEK'

13:55 Goodwood – Coppull

Coppull is a progressive two-year-old. He ran an absolute cracker in the Coventry Stakes, finishing third at huge odds. That was a huge step forward from his debut success at Beverley.

He is the highest-rated runner in the field, and he deserves his place at the top end of the betting. This is my best ride of the week, and this is one of the horses I am most excited about for the rest of the season.

15:45 Goodwood – Brosay

Brosay was a bit unlucky at Southwell last time out as he got hampered in the final furlong when he was making his move. He is now back on turf, and at a racecourse where he is a C&D winner.

I have spoken to the owners, and they are hopeful of a big run. It is a competitive handicap, but there could be more to come from my horse, so I think he is off a mark he can work with.

16:55 Goodwood – Brigid's Well

Brigid’s Wall is a homebred filly for Hugo Palmer. This is her first day at school, and whatever happens here, she will come on for the run. Hugo’s two-year-olds are in good form, so I am sure she will be ready for this assignment.

17:30 Goodwood – King Casper

King Casper looks to have improved since stepping up to a mile. He picked up a good victory at Newmarket back in April, and he has followed it up with two respectable performances.

The wide draw in stall 17 is not ideal, and this is a competitive handicap, but my horse remains open to improvement.

HUGO PALMER: 'IF HE PRODUCES WHAT HE HAS BEEN SHOWING AT HOME, HE WILL BE COMPETITIVE'

13:20 Goodwood – Seagolazo

Seagolazo ran a cracker on his last start, finishing third at Newmarket. Oisin Murphy is adamant this horse wants 1m2f, so we are stepping up in distance on his advice. The horse is in good order, and we are excited to see him back in action.

16:55 Goodwood – Brigid’s Well

Brigid’s Well is a nice filly who is homebred. She is the daughter of Ulysses and a half-sister to King Casper, who runs later in the card. I don’t think the draw has been very kind to her here, but we think she will run a nice race on debut.

17:30 Goodwood – King Casper

King Casper has been working well alongside Cheshire Dancer back home, and the latter won the Group Three Valiant Stakes at Ascot last week. We still have question marks about why he didn’t win last time at Newmarket. If he produces what he has been showing at home, he will be competitive in this race, despite this high draw.

JIM CROWLEY: 'HE WON'T MIND IT DRYING OUT HERE'

Goodwood 1.20 – Brise Noir

Brise Noir ran well to finish second at Windsor last month, that was on quick ground so he won’t mind it drying out here.  He’s also won over ten furlongs, so gets this trip well.  A draw of 15 isn’t ideal, but around here you always need a bit of luck, and we’re getting weight from the market principals, so at an each-way price, and in the form he’s in, I hope he can go well.

Goodwood 4.55 – Mythical Night

It’s first day at school for this filly, I don’t know too much about her but she will learn plenty, we’re drawn well enough in stall seven, and we’ll look to give her a nice introduction and something to build on.
