13:50 Newmarket – Diligently
I’ve been building up a nice connection with Clive Cox recently, and I hope to ride more of his horses this season. He is an excellent trainer, particularly with sprinters, as his record shows.
Diligently won a big race at York on his final start as a two-year-old. I had a sit on his last week, and he seems in good form. He has built out over the winter, so he should be even stronger this year. I am excited to get on board this horse, and I am sure he is set for a big season as a three-year-old.
14:25 Newmarket – High Stock
He is a well-bred Dubawi colt. I rode him last week and his work was excellent. This is his first day at school, so you are never quite sure how they will take to it. As is always the case in the Wood Ditton, there are some horses here with big potential, with all the leading yards and owners represented.
16:45 Newmarket – Spanish Voice
He started out in a competitive novice race at Kempton back in December, finishing third of 13 runners. I think his connections have been keen for him to run on grass now, which is why he has not featured since then. If he steps forward from his Kempton run, I think he can be in the mix here.
17:20 Newmarket – Miss Information
She was consistent last season with back-to-back victories going her way at Chepstow and Epsom over this 7f trip. Hopefully, she remains off a handicap mark she can work with. I always enjoy riding for these owners, and Andrew Balding’s horses are flying, so it is a nice ride to finish the day with.
