15:05 Royal Ascot – Al Wasl Storm
His last start was in the Derby where he found things a little tough in that race, and we also concluded that it was a bit sharp for him. We are stepping up to 1m6f now for the Queen’s Vase and the extra two furlongs will give him longer to settle.
All the leading yards are represented in this contest so it is another tough challenge for the colt, but it would be great to see him just finish his race off. He has plenty of stamina in his pedigree, so I am confident he will relish this distance. We also think Ascot will suit him better than Epsom.
17:00 Royal Ascot – Whip Cracker
He has been drawn 33 which you don’t see very often. It just goes to show how many runners there are in this Royal Hunt Cup. I am hoping we are on the favourable side of the track. It normally suits the stands’ side at Ascot.
There is plenty of pace around me. My horse has been running consistently well and is still on the improve. He likes to follow horses, and he should finish well. With a bit of luck on our side, I think he can go close.
17:35 Royal Ascot – Cheshire Dancer
I like this filly a lot. She had been running over 1m2f and was not quite getting the trip. Hugo Palmer then dropped her down to 1m and she was successful at Leicester last time out. She handled fast ground in that race and won going away.
With just 8st 5lb on her back, that is a big plus for us. I also like how well this filly travels through her races. She is a big price, and I think she will outrun her odds.
