Check out what Coral Racing Ambassador, David Probert, has to say on his four big rides on an action-packed day of racing at Ascot on Saturday.

15:00 Ascot – Purosangue

He has been consistent this year, with his last run at York arguably being the best of the lot. He should handle the ground at Ascot as he has run well on soft ground before. I am expecting a big run from him in what could be a great opportunity to finish the year on a high.

15:35 Ascot – Divine Libra

I won on this horse at Chester last year. He loves the soft ground, and the draw is good here. We have a couple of the fancied runners in and around us. It is clearly a very competitive handicap, but he is still off a workable mark, and I see no reason why he wouldn’t have a solid each-way chance.

16:10 Ascot – Hopeful

She is a lovely filly, so I am delighted to pick up this ride. She has done very little wrong this season. Her last run was in the Kensington Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot where she was denied victory by a head. She is dropping down to 7f in this race, but with a lot of pace in the contest, her stamina could come into this at the back end of this.

16:45 Ascot – Woolhampton

I won on this filly over this C&D two runs back. She can be a little slow out of the gates, but she finishes her races strongly. If we don’t give too much ground away early, we should be in contention in the final couple of furlongs.
