15:30 Newbury – Ardisia
He has been his own worst enemy this horse. We felt if he could have just behaved himself at Royal Ascot, he would have had a great chance in the Windsor Castle. Unfortunately, he reared in the stalls and that cost him.
We’ve gelded him since his last run, and he has been working well at home. Due to his behaviour at Royal Ascot, he is on the naughty list, which means he will be one of the last to load at Newbury. Hopefully, he won’t have time to misbehave. If he jumps out ok, I think he will run well and have a great chance of picking up some decent prize money in this race.
17:30 Newmarket – Sweet Fantastic
Sweet Fantastic ran a cracker in a large field at York two runs back. It then went all wrong at Chester on his latest start. He is another one that has been gelded since his last run. He has ability, and with Oisin Murphy doing the steering, I hope he can get back on track here.
19:30 Haydock – Be The Standard
Be The Standard is a horse we like. He has done plenty of work at home, all to a good level. He has been working with Laureate Crown, who prevailed last weekend. I am confident Be The Standard would have won that same race had he been involved instead of Laureate Crown. This is obviously a different race and test. I think this horse has a big future.
