Coral Racing Ambassador, Jim Crowley, previews his four rides at Newbury on Super Sprint Day, including the favourite in the opening contest on the card, Enfjaar.

13:50 Newbury – Enfjaar

He ran an encouraging race in the Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown back in May behind Almaqam and Ombudsman. He then finished a close fourth in the Wolferton Stakes at Royal Ascot. I felt he was a little unlucky in that race as he was short for room from stall two. He is a smart horse, and I really like his chances here.

15:30 Newbury – Irish Fighter

Irish Fighter ran in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot, and it was a respectable performance. He is a big price in the betting for this Weatherbys Super Sprint, but I could see him outrunning those odds. This race is always ultra-competitive, but my horse comes into it with a victory behind him at Windsor, and I think there is more to come from him.

16:10 Newbury – Wujjood

This is a lovely Sea The Stars filly. She ran over a stiff mile at Pontefract, and she just about got away with it. I was on board her at Wolverhampton on her debut, and she ran very green. With two appearances behind her now, she should know what it is all about. If she can take another step forward over what we think is her ideal trip, she will be in the mix.

16:45 Newbury – Tie Fighter

This horse is by Mehmas, who is a stallion I love. Ed Dunlop is banging in a few winners at the moment. It is his first day at school, and we will learn a lot more about him in this race.
