Coral Racing Ambassador, Joe Tizzard, runs us through his runners on Day Two of the Cheltenham Showcase.

13:10 Cheltenham – Lisbane Park

The horses are in great form as we step up a gear, which is very pleasing and after four winners at Ffos Las on Thursday, hopefully we can keep it gojng this weekend. I put up Lisbane Park as one of my five to follow for Coral Racing Club members this year, so he is a horse we really like.

We’re asking plenty of him, going straight to Cheltenham for his chasing debut and in a novice handicap that was always going to be competitive but I do think he’s on a really workable mark. He also won his point-to-point has been schooling well at home and his novice hurdle form was strong enough for a horse who only won once. 

I hope he’s got a great each-way chance at least and he’s probably my best chance of the weekend.

 16:05 Cheltenham – Kasino Des Mottes

Kasino Des Mottes is another one starting his chasing career off at Cheltenham. There are only six runners so we thought it was worth a go and he ran well here over hurdles. He’s got a bit to find with some of these on ratings but he jumps really well and I think he’ll do better over fences than hurdles.

16:40 Cheltenham – Tythingman

A homebred of dad’s [Colin], Tythingman won his only start last season. This is a step up in class but he’ll go hurdling soon enough and we just thought it would do him no harm to have another spin in a bumper. He gallops well so I hope he will run OK but he’ll be hurdling next time I would imagine.
