16:05 Aintree – Grandads Cottage

I’m actually really looking forward to riding Grandads Cottage, and although he’s a big price, I think he can run a massive race here. The soft ground should suit him as it should just slow the others down a little bit and enable him to get into a good rhythm. I schooled him this morning and he felt in great nick, and he really pleased us on an away day in Lambourn last week too, so he comes here in really good form.

You obviously need a lot of luck to win a Topham, but his preparation couldn’t have gone any better, his jumping is fairly solid, and i think he goes there with a proper each-way chance.
