Sean Bowen Saturday Blog | Kempton

Coral Racing Ambassador, Sean Bowen, previews his four rides at Kempton on Saturday, including The Wolf in the Class 3 Handicap Chase (16:32) who he thinks could be 'more than capable of winning'.

14:45 Kempton – Chasing Fire

He has lost his way a little over fences, so we are going back over hurdles. He is off a lower mark over hurdles, so life should be easier for him here. We just need to boost his confidence, so the primary aim will be to have a clear round and then we have something to build upon from there.

15:20 Kempton – Sure Touch

It was a bit more like it from him last time at Kempton. He likes good ground, and he will get that here. If he takes another step forward over the same C&D, he will have an each-way chance, in what looks like a competitive handicap chase.

16:32 Kempton – The Wolf

He had a little break before his last run at Carlisle and he appeared a little rusty. He was in excellent form earlier in the season, completing a double, with wins coming at Huntingdon and Leicester. We hope he can find the form from the early stages of the campaign, as he’d be more than capable of winning a race like this.

17:07 Kempton – Crown Khov

I don’t know much about this horse, but what I will say is, Tom Weston has done well with bumper runners this year. He knows how to get them ready for their first run.
