Coral Racing Ambassador, Sean Bowen, previews his two rides at Ascot on Saturday, including Strong Leader in the Grade 1 Long Walk Hurdle.

14:25 Ascot – Strong Leader

We were delighted with his run in the Coral Long Distance Hurdle last month. He jumped much better than he did the whole of last season. With that run now behind him, he should step forward again here.

Ascot is a course that will suit him. He finished second in the Coral Hurdle last season over a shorter trip than this. Since stepping up to 3m, he has hardly put a foot wrong. I am very excited to ride him in this Grade One contest.

15:35 Ascot – Go Dante

He ran well at Cheltenham on his first run since having a wind-op on faster ground than we would have liked. Unfortunately, I don’t think we will get enough rain in time for this race. He is a consistent horse who seems to always be thereabouts in these big race handicaps over 2m. Hopefully, that will be the case again here.
