Coral Racing Ambasador, Sean Bowen shars his exclusive insight into his three runners, at Cheltenham, this Saturday!
13:10 Cheltenham – O’Moore Park
O’Moore Park has shown some good form at Cheltenham, including towards the end of last season around the spring festivals, and he also ran well at Christmas. He’s clearly got plenty of class, but he does need to step up on what he showed last time out. He’s been dropped a little in the weights following that run, which should help, and hopefully he can take a step forward from his first run for Martin Keighley. We know he’s capable of running well around Cheltenham, so it’ll be interesting to see how he gets on.
13:45 Cheltenham – Road To Wembley
Road To Wembley disappointed last time at Worcester, but I thought he was a little lost on his first start in a big handicap. He did finish off his race quite well, though, which was encouraging, and I think he’ll stay the three miles fine. He looks the type who could improve for the experience, and I don’t think the ground should be an issue. He’s versatile in that respect and should handle anything from good to soft, so we won’t be too worried about conditions. If he settles into the race and sees out the trip, I think he could run a good race.
14:20 Cheltenham – Lucky Bere
Lucky Bere faces a different sort of challenge, as he’s now on a career-high mark and has another three pounds to contend with. That makes life a little tougher for him, but he should benefit from carrying a relatively light weight. The big question is whether he’ll stay the trip. He’s only had a handful of starts over two and a half miles, having previously raced over two miles, so Saturday will tell us more about his stamina. If he sees out the distance, I wouldn’t rule out a decent run, but it’s certainly something we’ll need to find out.
