14:00 Uttoxeter – Inishcorker
I’ve ridden this fellow in a couple of his runs this season and apart from his first run he’s been placed every time, although he’s been a bit frustrating not to have won a maiden by now. He gets this three mile trip no problem, and on what he’s shown he should be capable of winning a race like this but as I say, he has been a little bit frustrating so far.
15:08 Uttoxeter – Admiral Stewart
I’ve not ridden this horse before but he took a decent step in the right direction last time, finishing third here at Uttoxeter over two miles. He’s up another half a mile in trip here, when he ran over this trip earlier in the season he was pulled up but there was a valid reason for that as the vet found he had an irregular heartbeat. I hope he can improve for the step up in trip this time.
15:45 Uttoxeter – Largy Force
Largy Force has had an excellent season, winning twice and finishing second on her other two starts since joining Olly Murphy. She has won around here before, although that was over shorter, but it will be decent going here and she feels like a mare who will get three miles. I hope she has a decent chance.
16:20 Uttoxeter – King Jon Oliver
King Jon Oliver won on his debut for Olly when beating an odds-on shot trained by Willie Mullins at Fakenham but he was then very disappointing at Hereford, when maybe the heavy ground just didn’t suit him. He’ll get much better ground here which he should enjoy and which will hopefully help him bounce back to form.
16:55 Uttoxeter – Moore Brion
I was very impressed with the way Moore Brion quickened up on his debut at Market Rasen, it’s never easy carrying a penalty in a Bumper but the feel he gave me that day gives me plenty of confidence he can do so here.
