Who's your Banker of the Day?

The Ascot Chase is this Saturday's showpiece, and we've got great supporting cards from Haydock and Wincanton to look forward to as well.

We've picked out four leading contenders from four of the best races on Saturday and are asking you, our Coral Racing Club members, if you had to vote for one to be your Banker of the Day, who would you pick?

The horse who gets the most votes will be put into an exclusive Coral Racing Club Odds Booster that will be available under Specials on the Horse Racing page shortly after the poll closes on Friday at 1pm.

Banker of the Day Preview

13:50 Ascot – Apple Away

Apple Away heads to Ascot for the Reynoldstown after a mixed start to her career over fences. She’s been beaten twice by Grey Dawning this season, finishing fourteen lengths behind both times, but scored at Leicester between those two contests. Prior to those performances, she won two Class 1 contests over hurdles at the end of last season, including a victory in the Grade 1 Sefton Novices’ Hurdle at Aintree.

Can she score her first Graded event over the bigger obstacles this weekend?

14:05 Wincanton – Rubaud

Rubaud won the Grade 2 Elite Hurdle over the same course and distance the Kingwell will be contested on Saturday. He finished second to Constitution Hill in the Christmas Hurdle following that and then was beaten into fourth in the International Hurdle at Cheltenham last month.

Can he get back to winning ways on Saturday?

14:40 Haydock – Botox Has

Botox Has is another runner who has had recent success over the course and distance he runs over at the weekend. He scored in the Class 1 Stayers’ Handicap Hurdle under Caolin Quinn, who partners him again on Saturday. He was most recently victorious in the Grade 2 West Yorkshire Hurdle at Wetherby in November, and has since followed that with two below par performances in Graded contests.

Can he find his form once again at Haydock?

15:36 Ascot – L'Homme Presse

Venetia Williams is having an impressive season so far, and she sends her chasing star L’Homme Presse to Ascot for the Grade 1 Ascot Chase this weekend. He’s won seven of his nine races over fences to date, including when victorious over Protektorat in a Class 2 contest at Lingfield last time out.

Can he land another Grade 1 this weekend?
