Banker of the Day Preview
14:05 Goodwood – Francophone
In her five runs under rules to date, Francophone has won twice, most recently in a Class 3 fillies handicap at Southwell in April. She was last seen finishing in second, two lengths behind Secret Satire in the Group 3 Musidora Stakes at York and steps down to Listed company on Saturday.
Can she get back to winning ways?
14:25 Haydock – Vandeek
Vandeek arrives at Haydock looking to maintain his unbeaten run having won four from four in his stellar first season as a two-year-old last year for the Simon & Ed Crisford team. After winning on debut at Nottingham in a Class 5 Maiden contest, he went onto secure victory in the Group 2 Richmond Stakes at Goodwood, the Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville, and then finished his campaign off with another top class performance in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket.
Can he pick up from where he left off on his first run as a three-year-old at Haydock on Saturday?
15:20 York – Gather Ye Rosebuds
Jack Channon's filly has run twice this season, finishing 5th on bottomless ground in a Listed contest at Longchamp in April, before winning well at the same grade at Goodwood earlier this month. Connor Beasley regains the ride having won on her twice before.
Can this filly go back-to-back for promising trainer Jack Channon?
15:40 Curragh – Rosallion
Rosallion aims for success in the Irish 2000 Guineas this weekend, having fallen a length and a half short in the English race at Newmarket earlier in the month. Richard Hannon's colt won three times last season, including in the Group 1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Longchamp, and has reportedly been working superbly ahead of her trip over the Irish sea.
Can he land his first Group 1 victory of the season at the Curragh?
