Banker of the Day

This week's Banker of the Day heads to Epsom for The Derby as we look forward to another Classic!

We've picked out the four leading contenders from The Derby on Saturday and are asking you, our Coral Racing Club members, if you had to vote for one to be your Banker of the Day, who would you pick?

The horse who gets the most votes will be put into an exclusive Coral Racing Club Odds Booster that will be available under Specials on the Horse Racing page shortly after the poll closes on Friday at 1pm.

Banker of the Day Preview – The Derby (16:30 Epsom)

City Of Troy

Despite finishing a disappointing, and distant, ninth in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket at the start of May, Aidan O'Brien's star three-year-old is still at the top of the betting for The Derby this weekend. Prior to Guineas weekend, the colt had won all three of his starts, including a six and a half length win over the 2000 Guineas third, Haatem, in the Group 2 Superlative Stakes.

Can he find his form once more in this weekend's Classic?

Los Angeles

Aidan O'Brien's second entry in the race is Los Angeles. He arrives at Epsom having won all three of his starts, including the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud in his two-year-old season, and the Group 3 Derby Trial at Leopardstown earlier in May. He's rated thirteen pounds lower than his previously mentioned stablemate, but is yet to be beaten and is just as well fancied for the weekend's showpiece race.

Will his perfect record remain intact on Saturday?

Ancient Wisdom

Godolphin's only entry in this year's derby is the British trainers' leading hope, having finished in the top three in all of his six races to date. Last season he was victorious in the Group 3 Autumn Stakes at Newmarket, before scoring his only Group 1 victory so far in his career in the Futurity Stakes at Doncaster. His only appearance this season came in the Dante at York, where he was comfortably beaten by Economics, who doesn't head to Epsom this weekend.

Can Ancient Wisdom win his second Group 1 race?

Ambiente Friendly

Ambiente Friendly was victorious in one of his two runs in his two-year-old season, on debut at Leicester in a Class 3 contest. He followed that up with a solid third place finish in the Autumn Stakes, five and a half lengths behind Ancient Wisdom. He was last seen winning the Lingfield Derby Trial at the start of May and looks to go back-to-back for the first time in his career this weekend.

Can he follow up his convincing Trial win with victory in The Derby?
