Banker of the Day Preview – John Of Gaunt Stakes (15:35 Haydock)
Witch Hunter
Witch Hunter arrives at Haydock having finished third in his last two outings, a Listed contest over course and distance and the Group 1 Lockinge Stakes over a mile at Newbury a week later. His last victory came in the Group 2 Hungerford Stakes at Newbury, over the seven furlong trip, last August and he steps back down to this distance on Saturday.
Can he get back to winning ways?
Pogo
Pogo is a former course and distance winner, and he was narrowly beaten here over the seven furlong trip last time out. He was last seen at the start of May finishing a neck second in a Listed contest under Richard Kingscote. Kieran Shoemark jumps back onboard today, as Charlie Hills' horse looks to score his ninth win under rules.
Can he win the feature race on Saturday?
Noble Dynasty
Godolphin's entry into the race is Noble Dynasty, who has won three of his last four races, all of which have come over seven furlongs. He was last seen winning a strong Class 2 handicap with relative ease at Newmarket on Guineas Weekend.
Can he make it four from five this weekend?
Tiber Flow
Tiber Flow has five wins to his name so far in his career, which include Listed and Group 2 successes over six furlongs. He steps back up to seven furlongs for the first time since August 2022, searching for his first victory over the distance since March of that year.
Will the step back up in trip benefit him at Haydock?
