Banker of the Day Preview
City Of Troy
Aidan O'Brien's colt leads the early betting at very short odds, and he comes into the race looking to maintain his undefeated record. After his easy debut win, in a Maiden contest at The Curragh, he followed up with an incredible performance in the Group 2 Superlative Stakes, demolishing his closest rival by over six lengths. With Ryan Moore likely to take the reins, can he combine with O'Brien to take their 17th victory of the season together?
Iberian
Chares Hills' sole representative in the race, Iberian, boasts a record of two wins and a second place finish in his three career outings. After winning his Newbury debut well, he fell short to Haatem in the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood on less than ideal ground. The colt has since bounced back, posting a comfortable victory in the Group 2 Champagne Stakes at Doncaster last month. Can he continue this form and claim his first Group 1 success on Saturday?
Alyanaabi
Shadwell send Alyanaabi to Newmarket on Saturday, following his battling victory in the Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes over course and distance two weeks ago. In-form jockey Jim Crowley is booked to take the reins, can they post back-to-back victories together?
Array
Andrew Balding is represented by Array in the Dewhurst, and his colt is one of the more experienced runners in the race. After five races at 6f in the first season of his career, the two-year-old steps up to 7f for the first time in the Group 1 contest. It could prove to be a shrewd move, given the way he stayed on to win the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes on bottomless ground last time out. Will the extra furlong help him to victory this weekend?
