Who's your Banker of the Day at Newmarket on Saturday?
We've gone ahead and picked out five of the strongest contenders across those four races, and we're asking you, if you had just one vote to pick your Banker of the Day, who would get it?
The horse who gets the most votes will be put into an exclusive Coral Racing Club Odds Booster that will be available on Saturday morning under Specials on the Horse Racing page.
Banker of the Day Preview
13:50 Newmarket – Royal Lodge Stakes
CAPULET leads Aidan O'Brien's entries in the Royal Lodge having scored on debut in August, winning when going away over a mile at Dundalk. He continued to show promise when staying on to finish a close 2nd in the Irish Champions Juvenile Stakes at Leopardstown earlier this month. Can the progressive colt continue to impress in his first British appearance?
14:25 Newmarket – Cheveley Park Stakes
RELIEF RALLY leads the market in the Fillies' Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes. A winner of four out of her five starts, including the Group 2 Lowther Stakes over the 6f trip at York last time out, she certainly holds strong claims in the race. Can Tom Marquand partner her to another Group success?
15:00 Newmarket – Middle Park Stakes
The next Group 1 on the card is the Middle Park Stakes, where the best of British and Irish two-year-old sprinters are locked at the top of the betting. VANDEEK has made a remarkable start to his racing career, following up a debut win at Nottingham with Group 2 and Group 1 successes at Goodwood and Deauville respectively. With usual rider Andrea Atzeni over in Hong Kong, James Doyle takes the reins on him for the first time. Can he maintain the Simon & Ed Crisford colt's 100% record?
The dream team of Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore combine with RIVER TIBER, who is a winner of three races from four starts. He followed up Navan and Naas victories with a Group 2 success at Royal Ascot in the Coventry Stakes, before coming unstuck on very soft ground at Deauville and finishing third behind the winner and aforementioned Vandeek. Can he reverse the form and claim his first victory at the top level?
15:40 Newmarket – Cambridgeshire Handicap
GREEK ORDER heads to Newmarket in search of a hat-trick of handicap victories. After winning over a mile at Sandown in May, he reappeared with Oisin Murphy in the saddle for the first time and romped to a four and a half length victory. The three-time flat champion jockey retains the ride on Saturday, so can he guide Harry and Roger Charlton's colt to victory again?
