Who was your Star Performer of the Weekend?

It was yet another fantastic few days of racing action this weekend and there were plenty to note from Ayr for the Coral Scottish Grand National Festival and Newbury for their Spring Trials meeting.

The question is, who was your Star Performer of the Weekend and why?

It was a weekend to remember for Willie Mullins as he stole the show at Ayr on Saturday for Coral Scottish Grand National Day with a 4462/1 four-timer, including 18/1 Coral Scottish Grand National winner, Macdermott.

That came after trainer Dan Skelton secured a treble on the opening day of Ayr's two-day meeting, with Punta Del Este (25/1) claiming victory in the Class 2 Coral "We're Here For It" Handicap under Kielan Woods.

Over on the flat at Newbury, Hamish (5/2) continued to prove he is still at the top of his game with a reappearance victory in the opener on Saturday for trainer William Haggas. That success meant that Hamish has now won eight Group 3 contests and has tasted victory in an incredible 11 of his 19 competitive starts to date.

Later on the card it was success for the formidable team of David O'Meara and Daniel Tudhope, as Esquire (16/1) clinched victory in the most lucrative race on the card, the Group 3 Greenham Stakes.
