Star Performer of the Weekend

There was plenty of top action up and down the UK this weekend, including Chester's final meeting of the year, Ayr's Gold Cup Day, and the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury.

But the question is, who was your Star Performer of the Weekend and why?

Trainer Karl Burke remarkably landed a 1-2-3 in the Ayr Gold Cup, with Lethal Levi swooping up the stands side to claim the spoils at 20/1. Despite drifting in the market, Richard Fahey's promising two-year-old, Powerful Glory, made it two from two when winning the Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury, making it a third success in the race since 2013 for the Yorkshire-based trainer.

And of course we couldn't miss giving Franny Norton a shoutout for his treble on the day at Chester, which included an eight-length win in the final race of the card onboard Qitaal for Charlie Johnston. A fitting way to bow out for the 54-year-old having ridden an astonishing 494 winners for Charlie and his dad, Mark Johnston, throughout his career.
