The Coral Racing Club hits landmark 100th runner milestone

Following Diamond Days' debut at Wincanton on Sunday, we're delighted to announce that the Coral Racing Club has officially hit the 100 runner mark – just a week before we celebrate our second birthday.
In November 2022, Coral set out to make the biggest and best free-to-join racehorse ownership club in the world. We began with just four horses and four trainers, including West End Boy, who famously delivered the Club’s first win just a week before its first birthday.
The Club grows each day, with racing fans joining to experience the thrill of racehorse ownership, as well as claim thousands of exclusive rewards, from tickets to the biggest meetings to exclusive stable tours and everything in between.

“I was fortunate to be in attendance for the Coral’s Racing Club’s first-ever winner in 2023, when West End Boy prevailed at Wincanton. It was a surreal experience being stood near the winning post with six CRC members, cheering him home to victory. The Coral Racing Club is not all about winners, however. Seeing the smiles on the members’ faces at the trophy presentation will stay with me. We also went away from Wincanton with the best cheese and chutney in Somerset!”

“It has to be Cast No Shadow's first win at Newcastle in March this year, when it was pouring down with rain and freezing cold. We had two members who travelled a long way from Cheshire to see him run, and they both absolutely loved it. Despite the horse being a heavy favourite and a near-certainty to collect some prize money, you could tell with these members that it was just all about the experience of being Owners for the Day, where they got to be in the Owners & Trainers lounge, meet the horse and jockey in the Parade Ring, walk into the Winners’ Enclosure after the race, plus much more. That's what I love to see every time I host any of our Coral Racing Club members who get the chance to be owners.”

“Our first-ever runner came just one week after we launched the Club when Lady Mendoza lined up at Newcastle for her first run over hurdles. She ran a superb race, and at one point we thought she was going to become a memorable debut winner, so much so I can still remember everyone in our office shouting and cheering her on. She ended up coming home in second place, but for me, it’s still one of the most memorable days I’ve had since we launched back in 2022, and I can’t wait for many more to come.”
