WATCH: Cast No Shadow Returns to Manor House | Latest update from Hugo Palmer
We're delighted to share that Cast No Shadow is back at Manor House Stables with Hugo Palmer and progressing well as we build up to his racecourse return.
After suffering a bleeding episode earlier this year, the decision was made to give him all the time he needed to recover properly. He has spent the past few months in the field and then more lately, at pre-training, where his fitness has been built up steadily and carefully. This begun with plenty of trotting before progressing to slow, relaxed canters. The patient approach has allowed him to strengthen gradually while ensuring his recovery has never been rushed.
The good news is that Cast No Shadow has now made a full recovery. His lungs have healed completely and he has returned to Manor House looking an absolute picture. He's fit, strong, healthy and most importantly, happy. Everyone who has seen him has been delighted with the condition he's in and it's a testament to the care and patience that has gone into his rehabilitation.
His training will continue to be stepped up gradually over the coming weeks, with Hugo and the team focused solely on ensuring that he remains in the very best of health. There is absolutely no rush with this very special chap. We'll continue to let Cast No Shadow tell us when he's ready, with the aim of seeing him back on the racecourse on the all-weather during the winter months.
For now, we're simply thrilled to have him back where he belongs and can't wait to watch the next chapter of his journey unfold.
