WATCH: Annie Mc goes to France to begin her new career as a broodmare
As many of you know, Annie Mc was retired from racing earlier this year after being diagnosed with a paralysed larynx, and since then we have been developing a plan for the next stage of her life as a broodmare.
We are thrilled that we can now announce that Annie Mc is to remain part of the Coral Racing Club and having been our flagbearer on the track, she will now be our standard bearer as our first foray into the world of breeding.
We have taken advice from bloodstock agent, Matt Coleman, and sent Annie Mc to France where she will soon be covered by the leading French stallion, No Risk At All, who is the sire of top class jumpers including Allaho and Epatante.
We will be following and filming Annie Mc throughout this new chapter in her career, and bringing you all the behind-the-scenes footage and regular updates of her journey which will prove a fascinating new element of the Coral Racing Club.
We are hoping Annie Mc proves to be as good a mum as she was a racehorse, and we look forward to her offspring going into training with our Club trainers in a few years’ time.
I look forward to updating you on her progress in the coming weeks.
