It was a day to remember at Doncaster yesterday for Annie Mc and her Owners for the Day as she finished 2nd in the Silver Vase Mares' Chase, winning over £15,000 in prize money!

It was a beautiful day at Doncaster racecourse as Annie Mc took to the stage to take on familiar rival, Zambella, from the Nigel Twiston-Davies yard in the Listed Mares' Chase. And following our Owner for the Day competition, we had several members from the Coral Racing Club that were treated to a full owners experience as soon as they came through the gates. It was a joy to see everyone meeting Annie and having a good chat with Jonjo O'Neill before the race.

Annie travelled and jumped well throughout the race on ground that was possibly a little better than what she would've preferred, but to her credit she kept galloping all the way to the line under a good ride from Jonjo O'Neill Jnr and secured a 2nd place finish for the Coral Racing Club. And with one of the amazing benefits from our Owner for the Day competitions, it meant they got to take home £1,331 cash each!

That result brought the Club to two placed finishes from just three runners since we launched, which has been very pleasing to see. It also brought the total prize money won by the Owner for the Day competition winners to over £18,000.
