Cast No Shadow has been declared to run in the Class 4 Restricted Maiden Stakes (17:30) over five furlongs at Southwell on Monday.

This race was one of many options that trainer Hugo Palmer had outlined for Cast No Shadow this month, and after deciding to not send him to Wolverhampton over the weekend, he opted to go for the Southwell contest. 

This will be the first time that our three-year-old gelding has raced at Southwell, following outings at Ripon, Lingfield, Newcastle, and most recently, Kempton. 

Top jockey Jason Hart has been booked to ride, after riding Cast No Shadow to his best finish to date, a second place finish at Newcastle on his third run for the club back in November last year.
