Cast No Shadow has been declared to run in the Class 5 Handicap (15:17) over five furlongs at Catterick on Wednesday.

It was a disappointing return to turf action just over a week ago for Cast No Shadow as he trailed home last of seven following a short break after his breakthrough success at Newcastle on the all-weather at the beginning of March.

However, in Hugo Palmer's post-race update, the trainer was quick to point out that it was clear the club's three-year-old would prefer ground with some give in it, and as things stand, that looks likely to be the case at Catterick in a couple of days time.
