It was much better performance from Cast No Shadow earlier this month when he finished third at Newcastle, he was competitive throughout that race but just got headed in the closing stages.

We are going to head back to Newcastle on Friday 31st January for a five furlong sprint contest. It's a class five handicap for horses rated 0-75. We are now down 1lb to a mark of 71, which is 3lb lower than when he prevailed last summer.

I could not be happier with what Cast No Shadow is doing at home. If he can a step forward on his last run, I am hopeful we can be in the mix at the finish.
