Cave Article is set to make his chasing debut at Wincanton this week, in the Class 5 Novices' Handicap at 13:15.

There was always a view to send Cave Article chasing sooner rather than later, given that his size and scope really do suit the larger obstacles, and trainer Christian Williams has decided that four races over hurdles was going to be enough preparation for him to be ready to tackle fences. 

He's been schooling well over the bigger flights at home and opportunities are on the rise with the National Hunt season in full swing now, so it makes sense for him to make his bow over fences now as opposed to later this year. 

It's an eye catching jockey booking for Cave Article, as last year's Champion Jumps Jockey, Harry Cobden, is set to take the reins!
