WATCH: Conservative declared to make his long-awaited hurdles debut at Worcester this week
Conservative had two runs on the flat for trainer Joe Tizzard after making the move from Scott Dixon's yard earlier in the year, finishing seventh and fifth in races at Bath.
Our gelding began schooling over hurdles in May, and following some promising performances at home, was scheduled to make his debut over obstacles at the end of the month. However, he showed up lame on declaration day for that event and the Tizzard team were forced to postpone his first appearance over jumps.
After coming back from that minor setback, Conservative has been impressing the team at home and is raring to go again. We were told in Joe's latest update that he hasn't lost much in the way of fitness, as he wasn't out of training for that long.
