It wasn't Conservative's finest day at the office on Tuesday as he finished last of nine in the 17:00 Class 5 Handicap over a mile at Southwell.

Drawn widest of all in stall nine, jockey Elisha Whittington brought him to the front of the field to get a position on the rail going into the first bend.

Conservative led for most of the race before beginning to tire around a furlong from home, where he was headed by most of the field, including the eventual winner, Al Suil Eile.
