Conservative "in fine form" as trainer Joe Tizzard plots his next target after the summer break
Conservative is ready to go again and looking in fine form at home. We are just waiting for the Jumps programme to resume and then he will have his third start over hurdles.

There was a lot to like about his run at Uttoxeter last month. He stayed on nicely to finish fifth, and he is sharpening up his jumping all the time.
I’ve pencilled in a maiden hurdle at Newton Abbot on Thursday 22nd August as a target for him. We may have to check his ballot mark closer to that race, but if we do get in, I’d like to run him there. Newton Abbot is a nice track, and I think it will suit him.
