WATCH: Diamond Days declared to make his fourth start on Monday
Our Joe Tizzard-trained gelding showed a marked improvement last time out when coming home in fifth position at Chepstow on Coral Welsh Grand National Day, and although we couldn't see much of the run through the thick fog that had descended on the South Wales course, jockey Brendan Powell was positive in his post-race debrief.
Powell takes the reins once again on Monday, continuing the partnership that's been formed between the two in Diamond Days' last two runs. Our five-year-old is also set to get his handicap mark following Monday's race, as he pulled up on his second start, meaning that his performance on that day had no bearing on his opening mark.
