'This is a nice starting point' – Hey Day Baby makes her debut today
She is a filly we are looking forward to and though we know we don’t have a bumper filly on our hands, this is a nice starting point for her to learn plenty. Several of her opponents are coming with experience from point-to-point races just like her, so it makes for a strong little race today.
Jonjo Jnr rides, and the ground is good to soft with 13 going to post (Forceta NR).
There are a few fancied rivals including Sanda Rena, who was well touted at the sale in January and sold for £150k to her new connections, is sure to be ready for this and likely the one to beat here.
Fashionelle was second last time and is still only four years old. She will have improved from that run, and could have the pace to be dangerous if it is a sprint here.
Daytona Beach has all the weight allowances as she is also only four and her first run was in a listed mares bumper, so she too could be one to keep an eye on here in her second appearance. She followed them around that day and showed plenty of pace up the straight.
The very best of luck to everyone today.
