Cast No Shadow set for a short spell on the sidelines whilst our new colt continues to progress | Latest from Hugo Palmer
"Cast No Shadow was found to have bled during his latest run at Southwell last week. We were concerned to see him stop so quickly but after coming in following the run, jockey Zak Wheatley confirmed to us that he had bled. He'll be given a course of antibiotics to help him with the issue and we'll probably look to turn him out for about a month just to give him the time he needs to fully recover before we look to get him back again. It's not the nicest of weather for him to be turned out in, but he will be inside at night and hopefully just letting him get his head down for a little while should help him to come back stronger later in the year."
"The Land Force x Kirrin Island two-year-old colt is doing very well at Manor House and he looks very good right now. If you looked at him you'd be able to tell he's a part of the No Nay Never bloodline, and looks just like him in terms of size, colour and scope. He's been finding everything very easy as we look to get him up to speed ahead of his first appearance on the racecourse, which should come later this year. He seems to be a nice horse at this stage, he's doing everything we ask of him and he's getting stronger as every week goes by."
