WATCH: Ribbon Is A Dancer set to make the trip from Cheshire to Newcastle on Saturday
Our two-year-old colt has only had two runs so far in maiden and novice company as he continues to gain experience, and despite coming home in last place last time out at Kempton, it was visible that he'd taken a step forward as he was much more professional and travelled nicely for the most part of the race before just weakening in the closing stages.
Joe Leavy was in the saddle that day, and the jockey echoed that sentiment in his post-race interview saying he'd expect him to progress more next time out and also that he should be competitive once he has his handicap mark, which he'll receive following Saturday's contest.
Tune in to our latest declaration video from John Hill to find out more and join us from 10am on Saturday as usual for our Raceday LIVE Preview for all the latest updates ahead of the action.
