Coral Racing Ambassador, Sean Bowen, provides an exclusive preview of his two rides at Newbury today ahead of Day One of the Coral Gold Cup Meeting.
13:15 Newbury – Doctor Nightingale
She has some placed form this season, and she has a lot of experience going into this race. This is a step up to Listed company, so she will need to step up on what she has produced so far. Gordon Elliott has two runners in the race and his other juvenile, Wodhooh, looks the one to beat. Hopefully, my filly can be in the mix at the finish.
15:35 Newbury – Rambo T
He is a lovely horse who dealt with 2m5½f on soft ground at Newton Abbot two runs back. He then got outpaced at Cheltenham last time out but stayed on very strongly up the hill to finish third of 16 runners.
I think the step-up in trip will help and he comes into this race with an excellent chance.
