Sycamore picked up a small cut on his near fore last week during a routine exercise.

It was a little swollen, so I gave him a few days off just to allow the swelling to go down. I’ve assessed him this morning and everything seems fine again.

I’ve identified two races which I am going to work towards. The first is at Bath on Friday 24th May, while the second is at Redcar on Tuesday 28th May. Both races are 0-65 handicaps over 1m.

I am keen for him to put his disappointing run at Yarmouth behind him, and I am still confident he can produce his best on turf.
