Raceday LIVE Preview

All The Glory kicks off her 2025/26 season this afternoon after enjoying a successful first term wearing the Coral Racing Club silks during the opening months of this year. Having won on her first start for the Club on New Year's Day, she then went on to feature in a Grade 2 Mares' Hurdle at Ascot before finishing third in the Scottish County Hurdle at Musselburgh. Her campaign came to an end at Cheltenham where she finished down the field in a Mares' Series Final in April, but that certainly didn't dampen the hopes of trainer AJ O'Neill and he was quick to mention the possibility of sending her over fences after her summer break.

After a few months in the field, AJ reported that All The Glory had summered incredibly well, putting on a good amount of weight and looking stronger than ever. When she returned to action she was simply doing some steady canters for a few weeks before going into more intense gallop work. Next up was her first taste of fences as she was schooled over the bigger obstacles, and so far she's taken to them just as well as we hoped knowing how well she jumps over hurdles.

Obviously jumping over fences at home is a lot different to doing it in a competitive field, but so far all the signs have been positive so we're really looking forward to seeing All The Glory in action this afternoon. With it being her first run since April she will no doubt have some cobwebs to blow away, but if she can jump well and be competitive then that's all we can ask for this early on in the season.

This afternoon's 14:10 race is the second contest on Chepstow's card for their feature Jumps Season Opener Meeting and All The Glory is set to face five rivals after two non-runners were declared in the past 24 hours (The Kemble Brewery and My Friend Sean).

Our mare is one of four who will be making their debuts over fences, with In The Air for the Ciaran Gethings team the only one to have experience already having won twice so far this summer.

Chris Dixon, Racing TV analyst, previews this afternoon's 14:10 at Chepstow and gives his opinion on All The Glory's chances in the contest

All The Glory was a non-runner ahead of her intended chasing debut at Warwick last week and instead heads to Chepstow for her first outing over fences. The jumping test is less demanding at Chepstow than Warwick so rates an easier track in that regard for a chasing debutant, though there is an increased emphasis on stamina at this much stiffer track. That won’t be a problem for All The Glory given her stamina for further, so it will be interesting to see how she gets on given her handicap mark looks feasible enough.

In The Air is the only one of the seven runners with previous chasing experience and Ciaran Gethings will likely look to put that to good use with a front running ride. He has a chance but doesn’t look especially well handicapped. Ben Solo is a winning point-to-pointer who won at this meeting last year on his reappearance and has shown some of his best form when fresh so looks a big player, while The Kemble Brewery (non-runner) also won on his return last season and comes from a stable that often have their horses fit and in form early season. He’s had wind surgery since last seen so could improve so him and Ben Solo look the pair to beat.

Trainer and Jockey Statistics

Jonjo & AJ O'Neill have had a quiet start to the season, posting nine winners from 105 runners so far this campaign. One of those victories was a rousing win at Worcester last Friday, where Don Virginia hacked up by 17 lengths. The father & son duo have only had five winners at Warwick since AJ joined Jonjo on the license, although three of those have arrived so far this season.

Jonjo O'Neill Jnr has been on the sidelines since riding Dancing City for Willie Mullins at Sandown's Jumps Season Finale in April, so he has only returned to the saddle in the past week. Jonjo Jnr has a good record when riding at Chepstow with 22 victories to his name from 150 rides (15%), so we're hopeful he can put that experience to good use this afternoon.
