Raceday LIVE Preview
After an impressive run last time out when finishing third in a hot race at Windsor on Winter Millions Weekend, All The Glory will today head to Huntingdon for the first Listed Chase of her career. Trainers Jonjo & AJ O'Neill had initially planned to send her to Ludlow for a Listed race later in the month, but on entry day for Huntingdon at the end of last week, they believed this could be just as good an opportunity to pick up some decent prize money with only a small field expected.

All The Glory was sent off as the 40/1 outsider at Windsor just under three weeks ago but she certainly proved some of her doubters wrong with a really taking performance. She was held up by Jonjo Jnr in the rear of the field with plenty of cover and a good sight at the leaders to aim at. She continued in that manner for much of the contest, before making her move with four fences left to take, gently carving her way through the field.
For a moment between the last two flights, it looked as though All The Glory could do the unthinkable and claim what would have been an unbelievable victory, but Bluey and Largy force, who were prominent in the market before the race, just managed to get past our nine-year-old down the run-in, leaving All The Glory a length down in third. The step up in trip that day to 2m4f certainly helped our mare and so there's no surprise to see her stick to that for today's race at Huntingdon.

Today's task is set to be another difficult one for All The Glory, however, with one horse in particular looking like she could be the main danger in Paggane. The former Willie Mullins-trained mare is rated 19lbs higher than All The Glory yet will only carry 4lbs more in today's race. They would be off level weights if not for Paggane's two prior victories in Listed contests, which incidentally came in back-to-back races in November of last year. For those wins, she carries a 4lb penalty, and rightfully carries the top weight in the field. The other five runners, including All The Glory, are off level weights, with our runner being the highest rated of the remainder. Three of All the Glory's remaining opponents have won under rules previously, with Piper Park being the only participant in the race without a win under rules to her name. Jasmine Bliss and Shakeyatailfeather are both former distance winners, meanwhile Ruby Island, the only other nine-year-old in the race, will be looking ot recapture her early season form which saw her finish second and first in the opening two races of her campaign.

Racing TV Analyst, Chris Dixon, gives his expert opinion on the Listed Lady Protectress Mares' Chase this afternoon and tells us what he thinks of All The Glory's chances in the race
All The Glory had largely struggled over fences since the start of the season but finally got at least close to matching her hurdles form over fences at Windsor last month. That run coincided with a step back up in distance to 2m4f so it looks a positive that she’s persevered with at a similar distance here and ground conditions will be suitable whichever way they go. As such I’d be hopeful she can at least match that form from last time, though moving out of handicaps into a Listed race will likely mean she needs to show more of she’s to win.
The ratings tell their own story in that sense as Paggane, already a dual winner over fences at this level this season, is rated 19lbs higher than All The Glory and only has to give her 4lbs. At least All The Glory is herself the second highest rated in the field and on these terms has a sound chance of hitting the frame, with the unexposed Jasmine Bliss looking like her biggest threat in what looks to be a probably battle for second spot should the favourite run her race.
Trainer and Jockey Statistics
Jonjo & AJ O'Neill have been in relatively solid form in recent weeks, with three winners coming from their last 25 runners, including a victory at Sedgefield yesterday. Their form at Huntingdon is similarly good, with four winners coming from 27 runners at the Cambridgeshire track, three of which have arrived this season from only 13 visits.
Kevin Brogan has been on fire recently, with 6 victories coming in the last fortnight, five of which have come from his last 11 rides, including a hat-trick at Southwell on Monday. He has only had three Huntingdon winners in his career, and is still looking for his first at the track of the season having only had four rides there but he does combine with a pair of trainers in Jonjo & AJ ONeill who he is used by frequently.
