In this three-part documentary series, we follow the story of two-year-old racehorse Big Evs, as he is prepared by his trainer Mick Appleby to try and win the 2023 Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint at Santa Anita Park, in Los Angeles, California.

It takes you behind the scenes at Mick Appleby’s Leicestershire training operation, then shines a spotlight on Big Evs’ final few days of preparation under the hot Californian sun at Santa Anita overseen by travelling head lass Tara Belfield.

The memorable story finishes with the tension, drama and excitement of Breeders’ Cup Friday, when Big Evs takes on the best of the Americans and Europeans in one of the fastest and most competitive races in the world.
