Lady Mendoza has been declared to make her long-awaited debut over fences this Friday at Hexham. 

This will be the fourth time she's run in 2024, following three appearances over hurdles between May and September and after another solid run at Perth last month, trainer Rebecca Menzies has made the decision to switch her to chasing ahead of the start of the 24/25 national hunt season. 

It won't be the first time she's seen a fence, having won a point-to-point race in Ireland in 2022 before moving to the UK and switching to racing under rules. She's also been schooling over the bigger obstacles at home and impressing Rebecca Menzies with her work.
