Could there be double delight for the Coral Racing Club next Monday?
Pop Star has been in great nick since his last run at Doncaster where he finished fifth. I actually rode him myself this morning and he was bucking and squealing which is great! We've chosen to enter him in a six furlong contest this time to see how well he goes over a slightly longer distance. There's a bit of juice in the ground at the moment which he won't mind and it's a really sharp six furlong track at Windsor too, which he should enjoy given the speed he has.
Aspire To Glory has really impressed me since coming back from his Chelmsford win last time out. Although it's disappointing not to be able to take him to Laytown to run on the beach, we have managed to find a suitable race for him more locally. We've put him in the final race on the card at Lingfield on Monday, which is a handicap race over a mile. Although it's over a mile, and most of his stronger recent form has been over seven furlongs, it's certainly stiff enough around Lingfield which should play to his strengths.
