Aspire To Glory is a five-year-old bay gelding by Cotai Glory out of the Champs Elysees mare, Green Boulevard.

Cotai Glory was a high-class sprinter, winning the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes as a two-year-old and the Group 3 World Trophy later in his career. He also finished second in the King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot and was twice placed in the Nunthorpe, bringing a strong influence of speed to Aspire To Glory’s pedigree. On the dam side, Champs Elysees provides a greater measure of stamina, giving Aspire To Glory an interesting blend of speed and staying influence which has served him particularly well over seven furlongs and a mile.

We bought Aspire To Glory for as an unraced two-year-old and he has since developed into a tough and experienced campaigner with seven victories to his name. Aspire To Glory got his head in front for the first time at Kempton in December 2023, becoming the Coral Racing Club’s first winner on the Flat, before following up at Lingfield the following month. Since then Aspire To Glory has developed a particularly good record on the all-weather, proving effective on a variety of surfaces and turning into a horse who knows his job well.

The 2025 season proved Aspire To Glory’s most productive to date, yielding four victories including wins at Wolverhampton, Newcastle and twice at Chelmsford. He is always at his best when allowed to find a rhythm through the early stages, travelling comfortably into his races before using his special turn of foot late on.

Aspire To Glory moved to Dylan Cunha’s Newmarket yard ahead of the 2026 season. Although it took him a little while to find his best form for his new stable, he showed that the ability and enthusiasm remain firmly intact with a return to winning ways at Wolverhampton in September. Breaking sharply under Tom Marquand, Aspire To Glory was quickly into his stride and produced a performance much more reminiscent of the horse we know, travelling strongly before seeing out the race to record the seventh victory of his career.

Now a seasoned five-year-old with plenty of racing under his belt, Aspire To Glory remains a thoroughly likeable gelding who has proved both tough and versatile throughout his career. His latest Wolverhampton success was a welcome reminder of just how effective he can be on the all-weather and with seven victories now on his record, Aspire To Glory continues to be a hugely valued member of the Coral Racing Club team.
