Different race tactics next for Aspire To Glory following difficult Wolverhampton run
It was never going to be an easy race for Aspire To Glory after he had been drawn wide in stall 11, and soon after they broke from the gates, jockey Christian Howarth had to settle in rear. Christian got him settled nicely, but from front to back there was about eight to ten lengths between the pack after the opening few furlongs.
The pair started making headway with about two to go, but were unable to make any real impact, and once it became clear that Aspire To Glory had little left to give, Christian rightly let him come home in his own time, eventually finishing 4.75 lengths behind the winner Cuban Harry.

Alice Haynes shares her post-race thoughts below:
"Aspire To Glory has come out of his race well, and we’ll try and do things a bit differently next time.
We’ve held him up for a run since he ran well ridden this way at Ripon back in June, and with him being a thinker he’s probably just got wise to it now. We’ll be a bit more positive with him next time without being overly so.
I don’t think the inner at Wolverhampton is the place to challenge either, as nothing really ever quickens up that part of the track."
Stay tuned for the next update from trainer Alice Hayes as we await Aspire To Glory's next race target.
