Greek Symphony goes close once again in Epsom thriller
Greek Symphony produced another hugely encouraging performance at Epsom on Friday, finishing third in a thrilling finish to the Class 5 Nursery over seven furlongs.
Ridden once again by Ashley Lewis, our lovely filly was settled at the rear of the five-runner field through the early stages before beginning to make her move approaching the final two furlongs. She travelled into contention nicely and showed a great attitude when asked to go and win her race, powering through to briefly take the lead inside the final furlong.

From there it became a real battle to the line. Greek Symphony was headed inside the final 110 yards but she kept fighting all the way to the post, eventually finishing third behind Bincimbal and Wise And Wonderful.
Bincimbal took the race by just a neck, with only a head separating Wise And Wonderful and Greek Symphony behind him. It was one of those finishes that could have gone any way and our girl was right in the thick of it until the very last strides.
There was plenty to like about the performance, particularly the way Greek Symphony travelled into the race from the rear and put herself in a position to win. She continues to show consistency and determination and this was another good, solid performance from a filly who is giving the Coral Racing Club plenty to be excited about.
It wasn't quite her day at Epsom but she certainly didn't go down without a fight. Another cracking effort from our lovely girl and hopefully there is plenty more to come.
