Two December options for Aspire To Glory following Chelmsford run – latest from Alice Haynes

Aspire To Glory

I decided against declaring Aspire To Glory for Wolverhampton on Wednesday, as I just felt he could benefit from a little further rest following his run at Chelmsford last week.

Now the dust has settled, I am still disappointed with the performance, but I don’t think the race panned out to help us at all.

I’ve highlighted two options in December which I will aim Aspire To Glory towards. The first is at Kempton on the 13th. That race is over 7f, so he would be dropping down in distance again if he were to line up there. I’ve also put a circle around a 7f contest at Chelmsford on the 21st.

As I mentioned last week, I will apply a hood and some cheekpieces on his next start. They should both help him to relax and concentrate on his job at hand. I still retain a lot of confidence in Aspire To Glory’s ability. He just needs to start showing it on the track.
