Cast No Shadow is set to kick his year off with a visit to a course and distance he's won over twice before, after being declared in Tuesday's Class 5 Handicap over five furlongs at Newcastle.

Tuesday will mark the seventh time Cast No Shadow has tackled this track and trip, having won twice there last year. He was due to run at Gosforth Park at the tail end of December, but unfortunately he suffered a slight setback the morning before he was due to run which ruled him out. 

Jack Mitchell is set to take the reins onboard Cast No Shadow for the first time, as our gelding looks to win his third race.
