As I mentioned in my last update, Rockstar Icon picked up a hairline fracture in one of his shins which means he has been in his box over the last few weeks. He is nearly at the end of that spell inside now.

The horse is well in himself, and it won’t be long before we put him on the walker. That will be the first step of his rehabilitation and he will be on that for the next four to six weeks. Naturally, he has put on some weight, but that will soon start to drop off once we up his exercise.

I am still confident we will see him in action before the season ends. It is frustrating that this happened at the business end of the year, but we do have a nice horse that we can look forward to. His run at Haydock back in June was promising and now he has grown further, there should be a lot more to come from the colt.
