Hey Day Baby entered at Wincanton after impressing in training – latest from Jonjo O'Neill

Hey Day Baby
No matter how long you do this job, horses never stop surprising you.

Having said in our last update that Hey Day Baby had really started to blossom in recent weeks, she’s done so well in the last week or so that we’re looking at getting her back on track possibly as early as next week.

She’s done some faster work this week, and as that all went well, we’ve entered her in a two mile maiden hurdle at Wincanton next Thursday. We’ll wait until Tuesday before making a final decision, and it could be that the cold weather makes the decision for us anyway, but if she’s giving us all the right signs, we’d be keen to run her.

As I say it’s surprised us how much she’s come to herself recently, so if we don’t run at Wincanton, it shouldn’t be too long before she is running. After a long break she’ll improve for a run, so wherever she starts back, I look forward to seeing some of you there.
